SAT Vocab Challenge measures your mastery of 250 words, including The Princeton Review’s Hit Parade, a list of 100 words that most frequently appear on the SAT®.

Vocabulary building is one of the easiest, most effective ways to improve an SAT score. Now you can carry hundreds of need-to-know words with you everywhere you go. Turn 5 minutes into a productive study session--standing in line, riding the bus, during a lunch break, or just hanging out at home.

SAT Vocab Challenge takes full advantage of the innovative Multi-Touch user interface of Apple handheld devices and includes the following features:

  • 250 of the most commonly tested words on the SAT, as identified by The Princeton Review’s survey of past tests
  • Four distinct types of timed challenges to test you on each word’s positive or negative connotation, synonyms, antonyms, and definition
  • Select answers quickly by swiping the screen or shaking the device
  • Performance is tracked by the app itself, so at any time you can see the number of terms you have mastered
  • A complete index with definition, pronunciation and part of speech for each word

Reviews & Accolades

  • Outstanding use of “over learning” by having responses made in different modes (synonym, antonym, connotation) PLUS fun use of iPhone technique PLUS timing and length of units really optimize learning experience. Kudos to the designers for an app that is of great added value in prepping for the test-taking experience.
