Details

Vocabulary building is one of the easiest, most effective ways to improve a verbal reasoning score on the GRE®. Now you can carry hundreds of need-to-know words with you everywhere you go. Turn 5 minutes into a productive study session--standing in line, riding the bus, during a lunch break, or just hanging out at home.

GRE Vocab Challenge takes full advantage of the innovative Multi-Touch user interface of Apple handheld devices and includes the following features:

  • 250 of the most commonly tested words on the GRE, as identified by The Princeton Review’s survey of past tests
  • Four distinct types of timed challenges to test you on each word’s positive or negative connotation, synonyms, antonyms, and definition
  • Select answers quickly by swiping the screen or shaking the device
  • Performance is tracked by the app itself, so at any time you can see the number of terms you have mastered
  • A complete index with definition, pronunciation and part of speech for each word

  • Very useful. The Kaplan app has twice as many words but the design and functionality of this app are so much better there is really no comparison. The way they have the 'games' set up makes it a fun and challenging way to learn the vocabulary needed for the test. Well worth the five dollars, hopefully they expand the vocabulary list soon!

  • Powerful word list on a fun and fast moving app. Varied presentations of synonyms, antonyms, definitions, and connotations results in ownership of each word. My 17 year old, college bound, master reader, and rocket scientist loves it. I was looking for fun brain food, and this is a winner.
